Koasati Pines is consistently ranked a top golf course in the state. The conditions were a 10 - fairways lush, greens true and hospitality very welcoming.
The course has some unique symmetry. Each nine starts and ends with a par 5. Every par 3 is over water and an equal amount of straight and dog leg holes.
The round finishes with a strong par 5 back to the clubhouse with a classic rise versus reward. There are three ways to get home. Bombers and risk takers who can carry a 200-240 shot over water can take on the pin. For those looking to play positioning, there is an option to play the right or left side of the pond. If the pin is back the right side provides an easier approach. The left side is the play for a front or left pin.
If 18 holes isn’t enough, Koasati has a 19th hole to settle all bets. A short island green par 3. One last chance for a hole in one.
This course is a must play and pairs well with the casino.
